Allen Orr is an associate in the Athens office of Hall Booth Smith. He earned his J.D. in 2013 from the Wake Forest University School of Law, where he served as the managing editor of the Wake Forest Journal of Business and Intellectual Property Law. He graduated from the University of Georgia magna cum laude with High Honors, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism, specializing in Public Relations, as well as a minor in Philosophy.
After graduating law school, Mr. Orr practiced with Anderson, Walker & Reichert, LLP in Macon. He practiced automobile and premises liability insurance defense and worked on securing federal and state historic tax credits for local non-profits. Prior to joining HBS, Mr. Orr practiced with Johnson Marlowe LLP in Athens, representing corporate and individual clients in business disputes, estate litigation, and commercial loan workouts. Mr. Orr, his wife Mary Ann, and their daughter Jane live in Madison, GA where he enjoys racquetball, tennis, and following college football, especially his Georgia Bulldogs.
Mr. Orr’s litigation practice focuses on defending medical professionals, including doctors, nurses, hospitals, and others, throughout Georgia. The allegations in the cases he has handled range from negligent treatment and diagnosis, to negligent credentialing of physicians, to wrongful death.
