David Younker is a partner in the Atlanta office of Hall Booth Smith. David specializes in civil litigation matters and possesses extensive trial experience. David regularly handles various types of civil matters including medical malpractice, retail liability, business litigation, premises liability, environmental, general liability, appellate, and coverage matters.
David handles cases throughout the State of Georgia.Before moving into civil practice, David served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Griffin Judicial Circuit (Fayette, Spalding, Pike, and Upson Counties) where he successfully prosecuted hundreds of felony criminal cases, won many jury trials, and handled multiple appellate matters. David was privileged to work with victims of crimes against women and children.
David grew up in Marietta, Georgia attended high school in Powder Springs, and graduated with three degrees from the University of Georgia. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia Law School after receiving both a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and a Master's Degree in Education focused on Social Sciences. While at Georgia, David was a member of Moot Court and Mock Trial. David married his college sweetheart, Kathryn, in 2010. They welcomed a daughter in 2014 and a son in 2016.
David is honored to represent medical professionals and medical facilities. David works with hospitals, doctors, and nurses to navigate the legal process, develop trial strategy, and try cases. David has experience in high exposure cases and has served with first chair experience medical malpractice matters. David focuses on providing legal analysis and counsel to assist both the provider and facility consider options and navigate the process. David has investigative, trial, and appellate experience in this area. Additionally, David assists medical facilities in evaluating policies and procedures as well as their record keeping programs. David’s goal is to assist clients both inside and outside the courtroom.
