Mr. Williams has over 25 years of civil trial experience. He is a member of the professional negligence and general liability practice groups. Mr. Williams focuses his practice in the areas of medical malpractice, commercial litigation, premise liability and product liability matters. In addition, Mr. Williams has extensive experience in construction defect claims involving catastrophic losses. As a former city attorney, Mr. Williams has handled numerous zoning and land use cases as well as government employment matters and civil rights litigation.
As a former city attorney and municipal court solicitor, Mr. Williams has handled a variety of government liability matters at both the trial and appellate levels. He has shared his government liability experience in various presentations to public officials and the Georgia Municipal Association. Mr. Williams has represented municipal police and fire departments in civil rights cases and employment matters. In addition, Mr. Williams has represented local governments in annexation disputes and condemnation matters. As a City Attorney, Mr. Williams was frequently called upon to draft city ordinances and has assisted in negotiating and drafting comprehensive franchise agreements with communications companies.
