Wayne Satterfield is an associate in the Atlanta office of Hall Booth Smith, P.C. His practice focuses on the defense of large hospital systems, physicians, nurses, and governmental entities against complex litigation. Through this work, Mr. Satterfield has obtained experience in all stages of litigation, including early valuation and strategy considerations, managing pleadings and written discovery, drafting dispositive motions, and preparing fact and expert witnesses for depositions and trials. He has litigated federal and state court cases in Georgia from complaint to trial.
Additionally, Mr. Satterfield is a part of the Government Affairs team. In this role, he drafts and monitors legislation for clients in the healthcare, energy, and local government industries. Mr. Satterfield's interest in Government Affairs stems from his service as Special Assistant to Governor Nathan Deal prior to law school.
Mr. Satterfield earned his Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from Georgia State University College of Law and his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Georgia.

Prior to law school, Mr. Satterfield served as Special Assistant to Governor Nathan Deal, intern to U.S. Senator Saxby Chambliss, and worked for numerous national and statewide political campaigns. These experiences and knowledge of governmental activity give him the ability to help clients navigate bureaucracies and advance their needs.
