Nathan Mauer is an associate in the Nashville office of Hall Booth Smith. He received his undergraduate degree from Samford University in Birmingham, AL, with a B.A. in History. He attended law school at the University of Tennessee College of Law in Knoxville, TN.
Prior to joining Hall Booth Smith, Mr. Mauer spent two years with the Tennessee Attorney General's Office defending the State in civil suits across Tennessee, in both state and federal court. He also served for two years as an Assistant General Counsel for the Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, advising the administration on issues concerning employment law and privacy law compliance, as well as litigating wrongful termination lawsuits, civil commitments, and conservatorship appointments before state courts.
Mr. Mauer is married and has three children He lives near Oak Hill in Nashville and enjoys reading, spending time outdoors and good conversation.
While serving as Assistant General Counsel for the Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, Mr. Mauer advised the administration on issues concerning employment law.
