Brent Allen is the managing partner of Hall Booth Smith's Jacksonville office and co-practice chair of the firm’s Opioid Defence Task Force. Mr. Allen is a civil trial lawyer and specializes in the litigation of high exposure cases, including medical malpractice, commercial litigation, transportation, negligent security and premises liability on a national and regional level.
Mr. Allen holds the highest rating (AV) from Martindale-Hubbell, a national attorney rating service. The Jacksonville Business Journal has on several occasions named Mr. Allen a “Legal Listmaker” a “Person on the Move,” and an “Ultimate Attorney.”
As a Jacksonville native, Mr. Allen is active in the community. Mr. Allen was appointment by the Mayor to serve on the Board of Directors for the Jacksonville Housing Authority. Additionally, as an Eagle Scout, Mr. Allen serves in leadership capacities and assists in fundraising efforts for The Boy Scouts of America.
Mr. Allen is also actively involved in a number of professional and civic organizations including The Rotary Club of Jacksonville – Downtown, The Chester Bedell Inn of Court, The Florida Bar and The Jacksonville Bar Association.
In his spare time, Mr. Allen enjoys offshore fishing, hunting, being outdoors and international travel. Mr. Allen lives in Jacksonville with his wife, daughter and son.
